NIAGARA FALLS

Recently I travelled to Canada and America. The most spectacular sight I saw was the magnificent Niagara Falls. Exploring the falls from the deck of the Maid of the Mist was awesome, breath taking and the noise of the falls was thunderous, but thrilling. On landing, I was absolutely drenched with water, but I didn't care.

Alpine Region of Victoria, Australia

I toured the spectacular Alpine Region of Victoria, Australia. It was December, summertime and yet on the highest mountains, the temperature was only 8c. The trees and bushes all leaned one way and were leafless, the result of fires which had once raged the mountains. Over time,with the extreme cold and heat, the barks and the branches of the trees were bleached to the palest of white so that when the sun shone on the them, the mountains shimmered and were bathed in a silver glow. It was one of the most magical highlights of my tour.

Caught in the Act

Penny Grubb and I did  a joint book signing at W H Smith in Prospect  Centre, Hull.

Penny, a well known local writer of crime, has just published her third novel in the Annie Raymond private investigator series, "The Jawbone Gang" published by Robert Hale.

We had two unexpected visitors.
